Volvo wanted to make sure everyone knew their car was a direct competitor to the Mini Cooper.

I spent my summers in a heavily Swedish-American neighborhood, this would not have been out of place.

Even the horn makes a Swedish Chef “bork” sound.

In a German factory.

My first thought, too. Seriously, those Vues were made for maybe a couple years?
![]() 02/10/2016 at 10:38 |

I believe so, quite a rare find.

Pretty sure the factory is in Britain too.
Which is a 100 year old site which BMW took over.
Otherwise that would make the Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler and RAM factories in America, Italian.

Aren’t they? What I mean is a Swedish brand car built Belgium wearing a Swedish flag is similar to a German brand car built in England wearing a British flag.

I wish this was so.

See also: Toyota & Honda (mostly hybrid) cars that are built in America. It would be weird to see those with American flags on them.

There is a Disco II that drives around with a huge american flag waving from the bumper...like a real giant flag on a pole...its confusing.
